2015
The journey started in 2015, when Kagome and NEC began developing and testing AI-powered farming technology. The goal? To create a Low Input, High Output system that could match the expertise of master growers using data-driven recommendations.
2017
After years of research and testing in Europe, Australia, and the U.S., NEC introduced CropScope, an advanced AI-powered farming platform designed to support farmers with real-time field supervision, fertigation management, and predictive analytics.
2019
In 2019, the system was validated in Portugal and the U.S., where it demonstrated significant productivity gains. With the AI Smart Pulse system in place, farmers began seeing an increase in yield while reducing water and fertiliser waste.
2022
In June 2022, Kagome and NEC officially launched DXAS Agricultural Technology in Lisbon, Portugal, to scale CropScope globally and drive AI-driven agriculture forward.
2023
Following successful field trials, AI Smart Pulse was expanded to Portugal, Spain, and Italy, covering over 1,000 hectares of farmland. This system introduced automated fertigation management, allowing real-time AI-driven irrigation adjustments.
2024 & Beyond
